Peggi Kroll Roberts
Known for her impressionist child figure paintings, especially beach scenes, Peggi Kroll-Roberts was a Gold Medal Award winner at the 2001 Laguna Plein Aire Invitational and earned a First Place Award at the American Impressionist Society Juried Show 2001.
Her formal art career began when she entered Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design in the 1970s to study illustration and then became a fashion illustrator at a department store in the Phoenix, Arizona area and after that, in a similar position in Wisconsin.
In 1980, she returned to Los Angeles to work for four years for a top advertising firm. She married artist Ray Roberts, and they moved to Scottsdale, Arizona to raise their family and in the late 1990s, moved to Angel’s Camp, California.
Combining parental duties with painting was a challenge, and she learned that she could paint her children in their activities while supervising them at the same time. She also paints landscapes and still lifes.
